Description
The handle is a comfortable 5″ long, with solid walnut and brass pins. The blade is 4.25″ long, with a patterned patina etched into the steel using natural acids. This knife features a lovely red bolster from poplar burlwood.
The blade was forged from the leaf spring of an F150. This type of forged steel makes for very strong and durable blades.
Forge marks have been left on the ricasso as well as the spine and top of the blade. I like to leave some forge marks in the steel as a reminder of the knife’s story and where it comes from. That may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I like how it looks.
